Student Leadership
Lion Ambassadors
During my 4th year at Penn State, I had the privilege to serve as a committee director for the Lion Ambassadors, the Student Corps of the Penn State Alumni. In this position, I facilitated weekly committee meetings for 14 members to progress project planning and build community within the Lion Ambassadors. As a committee, we hosted 2 university-wide events: Campus Showcase (Pattee Palooza) and Old Main Open House.
Alpha Delta Pi
As the 2022 Vice President of Event Management for the Delta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, I have had the opportunity to plan and execute events for our sisters and guests. Collaboration is an important part of this position! Being on an executive board of 8 members as well as an executive committee of 13 allows us to collectively organize a successful sorority experience to over 200 members. For our event and risk management, I oversee a team of 13 chairs to support, assist, and approve plans for chapter-specific special events (ie. Parent's weekend, Homecoming, Greek Week). I have organized 4 independent formal events and over 30 total events while collaborating with Penn State Office of Sorority and Fraternity Compliance to ensure the safety of our members.
Volunteering
Penn State THON
THON™ is a student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. Our mission is to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness, and ensure funding for critical research—all in pursuit of a cure. Our yearlong efforts culminate in a 46-hour dance marathon, in which I have volunteered as a dancer relations committee member. As a volunteer, we are responsible for evaluating our THON dancers' needs to assist them in staying physically and mentally healthy to dance for 46 hours. To prepare, we collaborate with a committee of 25 members to develop an encouraging environment for all THON dancers. During the 2022 THON year, I served as my committee's administrator where I coordinated and assisted execution of 2 committee retreats as well as recorded and distributed detailed committee meeting minutes for members to reference and review. All create a meaningful volunteer experience. During the 2024 year, I served as a Closer to a Cure Celebration, Special Events Captain and fundraised to dance as an independent dancer couple (IDC). After raising over $12,000, our IDC was selected to stand for 46 hours during THON Weekend. As a Captain, I supported my co-captains by attending and assisting during pre-THON Weekend events.
